A Monet Inspired Spring Wedding at The Winslow Baltimore

WEDDINGS

We’ve photographed stunning weddings all over the East Coast. But still, nothing is better than witnessing love stories here in our home city of Baltimore. Tina and Sam’s wedding at The Winslow in Baltimore, MD highlighted everything we love about this city, from the stunning rooftop views to the beautiful waterways. We were honored to document every detail of their wedding! And we mean the big moments and the tiny ones, because every moment matters when it comes to your wedding!

Getting ready at the Baltimore Marriot Waterfront

Tina and Sam got ready with their wedding party in separate suites at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel. Nothing beats getting ready the morning of your wedding while watching ships sail in and out of the harbor! From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we knew Sam and Tina’s wedding was going to be memorable. We were able to capture so many intimate moments between friends before the couple’s first look.

The Baltimore Marriott Waterfront is located on a bustling corner of the Inner Harbor, so Tina and Sam shared their first look just outside the hotel, with the iconic Baltimore view behind them. We loved this space so much that we gathered the entire wedding party for portraits. With the red brick walkway, dozens of sailboats, and the skyline rising across the way, these portraits will always speak to the beauty of Baltimore!

Ceremony and Cocktail Hour at the Winslow Baltimore

We then transferred to the Winslow Baltimore, an industrial chic venue with exposed brick walls and incredible natural sunlight. The Winslow has a perfect space outside for portraits that feels so unique and industrial. Tina and Sam were married beneath a minimalist chuppah with Sam’s grandfather’s heirloom, covered in vines that seemed to grow from the lush floral installations by Arrow Bella. Even the couple’s dogs had a role in the ceremony, walking down the aisle as part of the wedding party! The ceremony ended when Sam smashed the glass underfoot and kissed Tina as his bride!

After the ceremony, we took family portraits beneath the chuppah. Then, Tina and Sam joined their guests for the cocktail hour, even walking their dogs around to greet every guest! The couple included so many personal touches, including family photos in gold frames, custom “drink water” signs with their dogs’ faces, and a live string quartet.

Portraits & Reception in the Main Winslow Room

While guests transitioned to the reception, we stole Sam and Tina away for sunset portraits on the rooftop. One of our favorite things about the Winslow is the incredible backdrops for photos! The entire building is full of character. Sam and Tina wanted to capture the urban beauty of Baltimore, so we went to the rooftop and made sure to capture the iconic city skyline in the background.

Now, Sam and Tina were ready for their grand entrance into the reception! In our opinion, few venues can rival the stunning two-level reception space at the Winslow. With high industrial ceilings, large windows, and plenty of room to dance, this is the perfect venue for big weddings. Tina and Sam opted for a classic black and white checkered dance floor (iconic) and truly made the space their own. They even covered the large pillars in natural greenery, which matched the elegant centerpieces on every table. After Tina and Sam’s first dance, guests enjoyed speeches, blessings, and the most delicious dinner we’ve ever seen. Once the live band started playing, the dance floor was full. The party lasted well into the night, including a hora dance, an outfit change, and cake cutting!
